Job summary

Boss Shop is hiring a Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty diesel equipment. The role offers a clear training path from Tech I to Tech IV, with emphasis on safety and quality service.

Earnest technicians will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and emissions work, while delivering friendly, professional customer service on every call. A strong focus on safety and qualification attainment is expected.

Qualifications

• Air Brake Certification required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
• Conducts DOT inspections and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Performs service calls, including night and on-call assignments.
• Utilizes diagnostic platforms including J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Completes work orders accurately, documenting labor, parts used, and warranty information.
• Performs engine, fuel system, cooling system, and drivetrain repairs.
• Performs emissions system diagnostics and repairs.
• Performs HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop, tools, and equipment.
• Provides friendly, professional customer service at all times.
