Job summary

Boss Shop is seeking an Entry Level Shop Technician to perform entry level mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner at our shop. You will complete required training, perform preventive maintenance, grease trucks and trailers, and assist with tire repairs and inspections.

Daily duties include basic electrical diagnosis, labelling and wiring tasks, battery testing, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card required at Boss Shops.
• Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required.
• Successful completion of internal technician training programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes.
• Performs preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
• Greases trucks and trailers.
• Performs tire repair, replacement, and related services.
• Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls.
• Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements.
• Performs battery testing and replacement.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
• Accurately completes work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information.
