Rush Enterprises is seeking a Diesel Shop Foreman to lead a team of diesel mechanics at our Nashville, TN location. You will schedule repairs, assign work, and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and efficiency on every job.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on supervision, and a pathway to advancement within a large network of truck centers. A strong focus on safety, quality control, and productivity is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years’ related shop and technician supervision experience.
• Insurability with Company’s carrier.
• ASE Master Certification / Diamond Certification / manufacturer certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist diesel mechanics in developing their skills with support of the Service Manager.
• Schedule repair work and assign technicians to segments matching their skill level.
• Ensure repairs are assigned fairly among mechanics.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
• Check progress of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks with periodic spot checks.
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Monitor mechanics’ daily productivity and payroll records.
