• Two years’ related shop and technician supervision experience required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist diesel mechanics in developing their skills with support of the Service Manager.
• Schedule repair work and assign technician(s) to mechanical segments matching their skill level.
• Ensure repairs are assigned to mechanics fairly and efficiently.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
• Check progress of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks; conduct spot checks for thoroughness.
• Road test vehicles to verify work quality.
• Monitor mechanics’ daily productivity reports and payroll records.
