Rush Enterprises is seeking a Diesel Shop Foreman Technician in the Springfield, MO area. You will guide a team of diesel mechanics, schedule work, allocate tasks by skill level, and ensure repairs meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years related shop and technician supervision experience.
• Insurability with Company's carrier.
• ASE Master Certification, Diamond Certification Program, Cat, Cummins, Eaton, Fuller or other manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist diesel mechanics in developing their skills with support of the Service Manager.
• Schedule repair work and assign technician(s) to mechanical segments matching their skill level to ensure quality.
• Ensure that all repairs are assigned to mechanics in an equal and fair manner.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
• Check progress (WIP) of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks; conduct spot checks for quality.
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Monitor mechanics' daily productivity reports and payroll records.
