Job summary

New England Truck Center in Exeter, NH seeks a Service Writer to be the first point of contact for customers. You’ll manage intake, estimates, and approvals, coordinate with the shop and parts teams, and keep customers informed from drop-off to pickup.

Ideal candidates have diesel knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to juggle multiple open jobs. High school diploma required; diesel tech certification is a plus. Schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; diesel tech degree a plus.
• Experience as service writer or advisor in truck/diesel/auto shop.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls/emails, schedule incoming work, and intake vehicles.
• Build estimates, timelines, and obtain customer approval before work.
• Coordinate with Shop Manager and Parts to plan workflow and parts orders.
• Keep customers updated from drop-off to pickup and close out orders with notes.
