Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing company. The Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic role is based in Tulsa, OK, and involves performing heavy‑duty repairs under supervision while training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

You will gain hands‑on experience across engines, fuel and electrical systems, transmissions, cooling, brakes, and chassis, with ongoing training sessions and strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum three years hands-on experience or graduate of vocational courses.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
