Job summary

Jacam Catalyst, LLC is seeking a mechanic to diagnose diesel vehicle faults, analyze results, and repair engine and system components. The role requires interaction with drivers, detailed record-keeping, and strict adherence to DOT and company policies.

Candidates should have a GED/HS diploma and at least 2 years of mechanic experience. A degree in mechanical or automotive engineering is helpful but not required; CDL-A hazmat is a plus and Medical Examiner's Certification may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a GED or High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years’ mechanic experience.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is helpful but not required.
• CDL A with hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required.
• Current Medical Examiner's Certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to identify faults.
• Analyze diagnostic test results and repair or replace engine parts and systems (engine, steering, transmission, braking, lighting).
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles and interact with drivers daily.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies; ensure safety and compliance.
• Drive and test vehicles to gauge performance and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and inventory.
