Job summary

American Cementing LLC is seeking a Mechanic I-III to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and trailers. You will run tests, perform preventive maintenance, and replace components to ensure fleet safety and reliability.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred technical diesel certifications. You will document work, coordinate with third‑party shops, and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and trailer systems; ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair procedures; familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections per DOT standards.
• Run diagnostic tests and execute necessary repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, and braking systems.
• Maintain detailed service records and coordinate third‑party repairs when needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and lead in supervisor's absence.
