Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay ranges from $30-$40 per hour, with additional pay based on experience and certifications.

Two shifts are available: 5am-3pm and 2pm-10pm, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred for M-F 5am-3pm shift.
• Entry-level acceptable for M-F 2pm-10pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet readiness.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $30-$40/hr.

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.Paid Training!

Shift: 2 Options.

• 5am-3pm M-F (EXP Required For This Shift)
• 2pm-10pm M-F. (Entry Level/Intermediate Exp Fine)

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
