Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned or leased heavy-duty trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.

Starting pay ranges from $26 to $30 per hour, with opportunities for higher pay based on experience, certifications, and skill level. Shifts are 9+ hours with overtime after 40 hours, and benefits commence after 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $26-$30/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs.1)4am-2pm M-F.2)830am-6pm M-F.
