Svendsen’s Bay Marine is a full-service boatyard located in Richmond, California on San Francisco Bay. We haul-out and repair sail and power yachts, Coast Guard vessels, water taxis, tugboats, pilot boats, and marine vessels of all kinds. We are factory certified dealers for Volvo Penta, Northern Lights/Lugger, John Deere, Cummins, Suzuki Repower Center, Steyr Engines, and Hamilton Jet.

We are seeking individuals with prior basic training in diesel engine mechanics, particularly military training, for our Marine Diesel Mechanic Trainee program. You will work under the supervision of experienced marine diesel mechanics with the goal of developing into a fully competent journeyman marine diesel mechanic. Daily tasks include basic engine service to complete vessel repowers. This position requires an ambitious, hardworking individual with excellent mechanical ability and a desire to develop skills in diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, and generator mechanical and electrical systems.
