  • Diesel Tech Trainee positions pay weekly
  • Hourly pay: $21.75 per hour
  • Certification bonus of $100 per new ASE certification, up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: up to $500 four times per year
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: Second shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Up to 1 year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal
  • Customer service skills
  • Technical aptitude; ability to learn equipment maintenance preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, work independently and in a team, professionally represent Ryder
  • Good time management and attendance
  • Track record of performance and accountability
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office
  • Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A, preferred
  • DOT safety regulated; regulated tech

Regulated Tech:

  • Must obtain CDL within 6 months
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check

Additional requirements may vary by location.

Responsibilities
  • Move vehicles, wash, fuel, and record activities adhering to safety policies
  • Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
  • Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
  • Complete technician training programs and assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
