Immediately hiring a permanent full-time Diesel Technician Trainee. This is an entry-level role that does not require prior experience.

  • Diesel Tech Trainee positions pay weekly
  • Hourly pay: $20.72 per hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: Second shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Up to one year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines (preferred)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong technical aptitude (preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work independently or in a team
  • Good time management and attendance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems (preferred)
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)

Regulated Tech Requirements:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check, and motor vehicle check

Additional location-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities
  • Move and wash heavy-duty vehicles; fuel and maintain vehicles following safety policies; record fuel activities
  • Perform multi-point inspections; check tires, fluids, lights, and report issues
  • Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
  • Complete Technician Training Development Program, including hands-on and online training
