Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the 1st shift stationed at the Live Haul facility in Carthage, Mississippi. The role requires performing preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, greasing, tire and brake work.

A Mississippi Driver's License, ability to pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment and own tools are required. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years relevant experience, at least 6 months operator experience in the past year, and a high school

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months operator experience in the past 12 months.
• Must have 3 to 5 years relevant experience to the role.
• High School diploma or equivalent including Technical or vocational schooling.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered. Minimum 180 day waiting period from previous Tyson employment.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

Role: Diesel Mechanic

Level: ME04

Shift: 1st Shift

Base Pay: $27.15 per hour

Location: Stationed out of Tyson Foods Live Haul facility in Carthage, MS

Tasks

• This position will perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers to include oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers.
• This position requires a current Mississippi Driver's License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment.
• Must have basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
• Must supply your own tools for minimum maintenance.
• Must have the ability to lift 60 pounds, stairs and ladders up to 30 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
• Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools.
• Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations.
• Must have the ability to document information.
• Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally.

• Must have 3 to 5 years relevant experience to the role.
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent including Technical or vocational schooling.
