Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Diesel Equipment Technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, and service equipment, interpret work orders, and ensure all work meets manufacturer specs and FMCSA safety requirements.

The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to handle tools and testing equipment, and the stamina to work with heavy machinery in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Minimum 17+ years of age.
• 1+ year experience or completion of trade school.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment; own tools required.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals; ensure safety standards.
• Maintain flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
