Job summary

Rentals To Go in Texas is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and sanitation equipment. You will diagnose diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform preventative maintenance to keep our operations running smoothly.

We value safety, independent work, and a proactive approach. The role requires 2+ years of diesel experience, a valid license, and ability to lift heavy weights; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Strong heavy truck diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and PTO systems.
• Ability to lift 75-150 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CDL license preferred; ASE certifications are a plus.
• Experience with vacuum/septic/refuse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on diesel engines, emissions systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and driveline components.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and repair procedures.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis to reduce recurring equipment downtime.
• Repair and maintain vacuum trucks, service trucks, flatbed trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Maintain service records and documentation.
