Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Delaware to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems. You will work under supervision to ensure fleet readiness and support our drivers on their routes.
The role involves diagnosing multi-system issues, performing preventative maintenance, and sometimes basic tire work. Training on new technologies and competitive benefits accompany a stable career path.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform preventative and repair maintenance.
- Experience with diesel and gasoline powertrains and vehicle subsystems.
- ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required; CDL is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains repair and preventative maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, and vehicle systems.
- Identifies malfunctions using electronic tools and performs necessary repairs.
- Performs line maintenance welding and basic tire work as needed.
- Supports drivers and maintains fleet readiness.
