Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Tractor Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. The role offers hourly pay of $33.10–$38.10 with overtime after 40 hours and comprehensive benefits.

You will diagnose diesel engines, repair powertrain components, test electrical systems, and perform PM inspections in a modern facility. Prospective technicians must have a valid driver’s license, be fluent in English, pass a drug screen, and meet basic math and age requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services to standard quality and time expectations.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine systems with ECM diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace external engine components as needed.
• Test and repair chassis electrical systems.
• Perform PM inspections per policy and time standards.
• Repair, align and adjust suspension and braking systems.
• Maintain tire maintenance program per policy and guidelines.
• Perform service calls and keep work records in EMS.
