Transdev in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced C-Level Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various transit vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on transit vehicles
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections
• Read and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
• Coach and monitor team members
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Must have automotive maintenance experience
• Appropriate ASE certifications (ASE certification program provided)
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
• Excellent communication skills
• Diesel Mechanic experience
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
• Must have CDL Class A/B with passenger endorsement

Physical Requirements

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 100 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise

Work Authorization and Compliance

• Eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.)
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
