Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Marietta, Georgia.

  • Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance and diagnostics
  • Three or more years relevant experience preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred
  • All location-specific certifications required
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum two years of heavy and medium-duty vehicle repair experience
  • Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To qualify, you must:
  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks
Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive and diagnostics
  • Conduct detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components
  • Work independently on most tasks
  • Assist with facility maintenance
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
  • Use shop management and electronic documentation systems
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
  • Mentor junior technicians
  • Access and utilize maintenance documentation
  • Support operations as needed, including service island support
  • Complete OEM diagnostic courses and SBT220 training within specified timelines
