- Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
- Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends off
- Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance and diagnostics
- Three or more years relevant experience preferred
- Valid CDL Class A preferred
- All location-specific certifications required
Additional Requirements
- Minimum two years of heavy and medium-duty vehicle repair experience
- Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
- This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To qualify, you must:
- Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
- Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background, and motor vehicle checks
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive and diagnostics
- Conduct detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components
- Work independently on most tasks
- Assist with facility maintenance
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
- Use shop management and electronic documentation systems
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
- Mentor junior technicians
- Access and utilize maintenance documentation
- Support operations as needed, including service island support
- Complete OEM diagnostic courses and SBT220 training within specified timelines
