Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck mechanic in the United States. Starting pay is $27-$35 per hour, with higher pay possible based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

Shift options include 6am-2:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include 15 days PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, overtime after 40 hours, health benefits after 60 days, and 401(k) after 6 months.

Qualifications

• EXP required for 6am-2:30pm shift; entry level exp acceptable for 3pm-11:30pm shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
