Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc. is seeking a skilled heavy-duty diesel technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company-owned or leased trucks and equipment.

Starting pay ranges from $26 to $30 per hour, with higher pay for additional experience and certifications. Expect two 9+ hour shifts with overtime over 40 hours, or a second option from 4:00am to 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, and a 8:30am to 6:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Daily inspections and diagnostics on diesel refuse trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO, and related components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues to keep fleet operating safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $26-$30/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift

2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs.

• 4am-2pm M-F.
• 830am-6pm M-F.
