1. Full-time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.
2. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days (with some Saturdays at TC Recycling) for the employee’s regular schedule.

Position Available: Tri-County Industries, Inc. is seeking a heavy truck diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy diesel trucks.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks.
2. Service light service equipment and light trucks.
3. Typical repairs include but are not limited to: hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, electrical, and emission systems.
4. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
5. Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
6. Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel trucks.
2. Must be able to perform state inspections.
3. Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.
4. Employees must provide their own tools and locking tool box.
5. Valid CDL helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required.
2. Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-75 lbs. for short distances.
