As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with potential to advance to higher Service Technician and leadership roles. All team members are expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain work documentation accurately and promptly daily.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Strong background in engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per United Rentals' policies.
