Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain our heavy-duty diesel fleet. Starting pay ranges from $29 to $36 per hour, with additional pay based on experience and certifications.

Shift is 12pm–9:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. The role includes daily inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel refuse trucks, plus maintenance to keep the fleet ready for daily operation.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $29-$36/hr
More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.
Shift: 12pm-930pm M-F. OT after 40hrs
