R+L Carriers is hiring a Diesel Mechanic at Fort Pierce, FL for a full-time night shift (12:00am–10:30am). You will maintain our fleet with preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

The job requires hands-on diesel engine work, AC and electrical experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and owning your own tools. Benefits include vacation after 90 days, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid holidays, and exclusive employee resorts.

Qualifications

• Experienced in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Able to handle major repairs on fleet equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical and AC systems in diesel trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance on fleet equipment including preventive maintenance.
• Repairs ranging from minor to major on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Possible welding and related tasks depending on location.
• Assist with trailer PMs and repairs as needed.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at Fort Pierce, FL Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools

Preferred

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
