Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Danville, IL Service Center. Responsibilities include day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment with preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.

Candidates should have diesel engine experience, AC/electrical knowledge, and be able to lift 50lbs. Full-time, Monday–Friday with various shifts, PTO after 90 calendar days, and a robust benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match,

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• Preferred: 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Class A CDL holder.
• Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Handle minor to major repairs and welding as location allows.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies as needed.
• Support safety and reliability of the fleet.

Diesel Mechanic, Hourly Range is $26.28 - $37.48 hr. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes our very own employee resorts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Danville, IL. Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
