Job summary

GFL Environmental in Alabama is seeking a Diesel Refuse Truck Maintenance Technician to join our fleet team. You will perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and repair diesel refuse trucks to keep operations safe, reliable, and compliant.

You will handle hydraulic and electrical system work, brakes, suspension, PTOs, and preventative maintenance. The shift is 10am–8pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours and benefits after 60 days.

Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25-$30/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 10am-8pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs.
