Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel refuse trucks. The role requires hydraulic and air brake system experience and the ability to perform preventative maintenance to keep fleets safe and reliable.

Shifts run 12pm–10pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Starting pay ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, with benefits after 60 days and additional incentives per experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Air brake and hydraulic system experience required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Willing to work 12pm-10pm shift and overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
