Job summary

Green Expert Technology (GreenXT) is seeking a Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative to support US Navy fleet concentration in San Diego, CA. The role involves reviewing diesel engine history, conducting analysis, and presenting metrics to guide maintenance decisions.

The ideal candidate has substantial US Navy diesel background, DoD clearance eligibility, and experience with DMS/DRS, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This position requires on-site work and physical readiness.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret level security clearance required or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 8 years of US Navy Engineman or Machinist Mate with Diesel background or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of practical experience with Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS).
• Experience with major US Navy engine types for propulsion/power generation (FM opposed piston, Colt 2.5, PA6B, CAT 3608).
• Familiarity with Shipboard Automated Maintenance Manager (SAMM) and DEPA data collection/analysis.
• US Navy DEI certification or prior certification is a plus.
• US Navy Top Snipe on LSD/LPD/LCS platform is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Review shipboard diesel engine material history database for each assigned hull.
• Review monthly Doctor Diesel engine combustion analysis messages.
• Review diesel engine machinery operating conditions, logistics and repair issues.
• Attend conferences related to Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS).
• Assist the Technical Program Manager with developing and presenting metrics and data reviews.
• Develop Basisline Availability Work Packages (BAWP).
• Deck plate training of US Navy crews in DMS and DRS.
• Research and present inputs for Diesel Technical Directives.
