Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative (DLER) to support NSWCPD in Norfolk, VA. The DLER assists with documenting maintenance actions, collecting engine performance data, and engine balancing for select ship classes. Ideal candidates will have U.S. Navy diesel propulsion experience and DEI/OEM certification.

Onsite in Norfolk with anticipated 10–20% travel; salary at $43.36/hour. Security clearance required; U.S. citizens only.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• 7+ years as U.S. Navy Engineman or maritime diesel propulsion experience.
• 2+ years with Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS).
• Experience with Colt-Pielstick PC2.5; PA6B; FMOP 38 ND 8 1/8; Caterpillar 3608 engine lines.
• Current or prior certification as Diesel Engine Inspector (DEI) and/or OEM Technical Service Representative.
• Experience with SAMM software, DEPA data collection, and engine data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diesel engine maintenance with ship maintenance teams.
• Represent ISEA at project team meetings and site visits.
• Maintain life cycle maintenance plans for vessels.
• Monitor life cycle maintenance data and engine performance tests.
• Review technical reports and maintenance procedures for accuracy.
• Develop maintenance policies to ensure equipment reliability.
