Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative (DLER) to support NSWCPD. The role focuses on documenting diesel engine maintenance, collecting performance data, and assisting with engine balancing for naval vessels. Onsite work with ~10–20% travel optional.

Ideal candidates will have Navy diesel propulsion expertise and DEI/OEM certification, plus strong communication and reporting skills. Clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 7+ years in Navy diesel propulsion and related systems.
• DEI and/or OEM Technical Service Representative certification.
• Experience with SAMM and DEPA data collection.
• Ability to analyze engine data and recommend actions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diesel engine maintenance with the ship’s maintenance team and regional centers.
• Represent the ISEA at project teams and reviews.
• Maintain life cycle maintenance plans for assigned vessels.
• Monitor life cycle maintenance and engine performance data.
• Plan condition-based maintenance for upcoming availabilities.
• Review technical reports and maintenance procedures.
• Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures.
• Train the crew in collecting engine performance data.
