Job summary

Transdev in Elkton, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Truck Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles. You will help ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet in a hands-on role.

Key duties include performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs with moderate supervision, maintaining thorough work orders, and supporting PMs and safety checks. A CDL and ASE-related credentials are preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational/technical vehicle repair cert preferred.
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required (or within 3 months).
• ASE Certification preferred; plan to obtain 3 ASE within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance.
• Maintain and repair a variety of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain repair records and order parts as needed.
• Assist with PMs, safety inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
