Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Sauk Rapids, MN to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, drive train and steering. You will support drivers and keep our fleet running smoothly.
Under supervision you will diagnose issues, use electronic tools, complete required training, and contribute to a safe, reliable fleet.
Qualifications
- Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
- Basic understanding of labor time standards in work orders.
- Experience with Class 1-5 trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
- Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies including hydraulic/electrical systems; and air/hydraulic braking systems.
- Perform light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering and HVAC work.
- Weld and fabricate as needed for line maintenance.
- Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
- Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete required company training.
