Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors and trailers. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for equipment including forklifts. Candidates with ASE Master Certification and CDL-A are encouraged, and a tool reimbursement program is offered.

Starting pay is $31.54 per hour with potential increases and shift differentials. The position is full-time and based at locations in Minnesota, with comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Perform basic diagnostics to identify source of trouble and make adjustments for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance work in writing and electronically.
• Perform safety inspections and paint/body work as needed.
