Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet of heavy trucks. You will perform scheduled maintenance and on-demand repairs to keep trucks safe and reliable.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to read repair manuals and electrical diagrams, and adherence to safety standards. Hours are 2pm–4am, Monday through Friday, with possible overtime. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and diesel engines preferred.
• Ability to read and understand safety procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues; complete repairs and component replacements.
• Check and replace fluids and filters; inspect electrical and braking systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified; maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Interact professionally with customers and drive safety and quality.
