Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Covington, KY is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair our fleet of heavy trucks to keep operations safe and on schedule.

You will perform maintenance per schedules, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety standards. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:00PM-10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle failures.
• In-depth knowledge of truck components and systems preferred.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related equipment.
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters as needed.
• Inspect and overhaul vehicle support systems such as electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
