Job summary

Sysco in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics to maximize safety and reliability of the fleet. You will inspect, repair, and document work on a variety of tractors, trailers, and equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires HVAC, electrical, and mechanical repair skills, plus a valid driver’s license and relevant ASE or inspector certifications. Some travel and non-traditional hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Education: Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per laws and frequencies.
• Repair and diagnose vehicle systems following manufacturer specs.
• Document all work performed on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
