Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a fleet maintenance technician for a full-time role on the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM). The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and expert repairs to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

Excellent shift differentials apply, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs to engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems, plus documenting work orders and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and HVAC systems.
• Follow procedures and document work orders; mentor junior technicians.
• Possibly supervise when Fleet Manager is unavailable.
