Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to help keep our national delivery fleet safe and reliable. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and complex repairs on tractors, trailers, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring adherence to DOT/FMCSA standards and Sysco procedures.

The role requires strong electrical and diagnostic skills, the ability to work with OEM software, and the flexibility to cover varied shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of fleet maintenance experience
• Certification in brake inspection or inspector-related credentials is preferred
• ASE certifications (Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks) are a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and other company equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair according to manufacturer specifications including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly and accurately
• Maintain thorough documentation on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs
