Job summary

Sysco West Coast Florida, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician I to support Fleet Technician II/III in maintaining safe, reliable vehicles.

You will learn to perform preventive maintenance inspections and basic repairs to minimize downtime and keep our fleet operating efficiently. The role requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to follow procedures, with opportunities to advance and gain ASE or related certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Truck technical training for medium/heavy duty preferred.
• No experience required; CDL preferred is a plus.
• Technicians must provide own tools or use Sysco-provided tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Technician II/III in inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Learn to perform CVI/FAI inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair to manufacturer specifications.
• Document work orders with accurate cause and correction.
• Develop proficiency in Sysco computer programs.
