Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic and body systems on heavy and light duty trucks. Welding and fabrication may be required for fleet support in a refuse and recycling operation.

The role covers multiple brands (Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus) with safety and OSHA compliance at the forefront. CDL-B preferred and ASE certifications encouraged for career progression.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of medium duty class 8 vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diesel, gasoline, and CNG systems; welding and fabrication may be required.
• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain CDL.
• Ability to read Factory Service Manuals and use diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics related to a fleet of refuse and recycling vehicles.
• Maintenance and repair of Mack, IHC, Autocar, Heil, McNeilus vehicles and equipment.
• Support of coworkers in safe and efficient maintenance and repair work.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
