Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician in Saint Charles, MO to maintain and repair our diesel tractor fleet and related equipment. The role requires preventive maintenance, diagnostic work, and documentation, with opportunities for ASE certification bonuses and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or near completion of a maintenance certificate or FedEx Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools and a valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes necessary adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with others to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance in writing and electronically; completes required reports.
• Performs safety inspections and paint/body work as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies; perform other duties as needed.
