Job summary

FedEx Freight in Windsor, WI is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractor fleet, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe operation.

The position requires ability to work independently or as part of a team, thorough documentation, and adherence to safety standards. ASE certifications and a Class A CDL are preferred, with potential for paint/body work and off-site service as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• One year experience performing vehicle maintenance or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program or similar certification.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify source of trouble and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Keeps accurate maintenance records and completes reports in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and documents work.
• May perform paint and body work on vehicles as required.
