Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Gardena seeks a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain diesel tractors and trailers. You will work on refrigeration units and related fleet equipment, with a focus on safety and compliance under DOT and Reyes standards.

The role is full-time on the 2nd shift, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and own tools; CDL A is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations.
• CDL A is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management safety standards.
• May drive Reyes family of businesses and customer vehicles; maintain DOT qualification on file.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
