Job summary

SRM Concrete is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain our mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers and other heavy equipment. We provide training and support for career entrants as well as experienced technicians to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

As a Fleet Mechanic, you’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and rebuild or replace major components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification is a plus.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to diagnose diesel engine, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as engines and transmissions.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Follow safety policies and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Stay current on diesel technology and repair techniques.
