Job summary

SRM Concrete is hiring Fleet Mechanics to maintain our fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems to keep vehicles running safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work variable shifts and on-the-job training for beginners.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
• Schedule maintenance with the operations team to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in workshop and on job sites.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work in company systems.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
