Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks an experienced fleet technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles. You will diagnose issues, perform electrical system repairs, and ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

Candidate should have heavy-duty truck training and a high school diploma, with ASE certifications preferred. The role requires tool ownership and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training in heavy vehicles.
• Experience: 2-year school plus 1 year or 3 years in fleet maintenance.
• Certifications: ASE preferred, 609 HVAC, annual inspector and brake inspector.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Document work orders and use Sysco computer programs.
