Performance Foodservice in Naperville, IL is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations and maintain accurate work order documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of experience in heavy vehicle repair, including PMs, diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience repairing medium to heavy-duty vehicles, incl. PMs, tires, brakes, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with computerized diagnostics and A/C refrigeration.
• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and is roadworthy.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and other key components; replace parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand/power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
